Introduction
Software Requirement Specifications are written for the purpose of having a written understanding of a potential client's
system requirements and dependencies at a particular point in time. It's a two-way insurance policy that assures that both
the client and the software developers understand the requirements from the client's perspective at a given point in time.
The purpose of this document is to give Shearing Contractors an understanding of the functions and features of SK Khan Software
so they can then identify if it meets their own software requirement specifications.
Background
In 1989 Jenny Scott identified that a software payroll and accounts program was required to meet the changes and legalities being
introduced to the NZ Shearing industry. Designed by Jenny Scott, proprietor of PC's & Programs and developed in DOS by
Shafid Khan, Managing Director of Khan Software, that program has served it's users well for many many years.
With the advance of Computer Hardware, and the introduction of the more user-friendly Windows environment, Jenny and Shafid updated
the Shearing Contractors program to the new Windows format.
Khan Software Ltd
Shafid has been developing software since 1985 and now has a wide variety of programs he maintains in the business sector of NZ.
He developed the Shearing Contractors Software in DOS in 1992-93, and now, as with most of his programs, he uses the 'Windows' environment,
and this includes the Shearing Contractors Program.
Sales and Support
Sales, support and updates are provided by PC's & Programs and agents. PC's & Programs are also responsible for research, maintenance
and further development of the program and through trained agents will deliver professional product training and consultation.
Agents are leading experts on the effective setting up, use and support of SK Khan Software, and bring a wealth of experience and
energy to the provision of quality client services to both new and existing clients.
Product Perspective
SK Khan Shearing Contractors Software is a software application written in FOXPRO a well known and
used programming language.
The Software is a Payroll/Accounts program written specifically for the Shearing industry. It is Windows based
and can be used in many types of operating environments.
Product Functions
SK Khan Shearing Contractors Software is a fully integrated Payroll, Invoice, Stock and Cashbook accounts software.
It has customised payroll and invoicing features required by the Shearing industry, full reporting, client database, full history of clients and staff.
he software is keyboard and mouse functionality driven.

Software Interfaces
- Automatic generation of files for electronic banking may be produced by the Khan Software.
- Automatic generation of IRD IR file is produced.
- Entire database or portions may be exported at any time, but may require initial set-up and supervision.
